Dear Photograph Lovers,

As Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, we carry out a wide range of activities in different fields of culture and art. We have worked and will continue to
work on behalf of presenting the best and the most beautiful to you in these works that are inherited to future generations.

Photography culture is developing day by day in our country and in our city. We feel it in every aspect of life. Through photography, mankind creates
a large memory by recording itself, nature, historical or cultural work. Today, photography is not only an image, it is also a note of history, a work
of artistic value. Based on this understanding, it is unthinkable for us as the local government to be insensitive to an artistic and cultural effort with
such dimensions. In this respect, it is our duty to introduce the natural beauties, history and cultural heritage of Kayseri with the frames of the photo
lovers at national level and to create awareness for our city. Kayseri has a rich heritage in many areas with its historical and cultural background.
In our beautiful city where we act with the slogan “ We care about education because we are the enemy of ignorance”, we consider the needs of
transportation, road and water with the understanding of urbanism, and we take into consideration the social and cultural needs.

In Kayseri, which is the cradle of civilizations in terms of history and geography, we are concerned about publishing works that reflect our history,
tradition, culture and art. We know that our published heritage is a pleasant voice of us that we left fort he future generations. In this context, we
organized the photography contest “A Moment in Kayseri. ” We were very pleased that the competition attracted national interest, the participation
was intense and the variety of photographs were great.

Our respectable jury meticulously evaluated all the works submitted to the ‘‘National Photography Contest’’ which we organized for the sixth time,
and determined the photos that were awarded.

In the Sixth National Photography Competition of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality;
Adem Eroğlu was the winner of the competition with his photograph entitled “Shadows”
Yasin Çetin came second with his photograph “Mount Erciyes from a train”
Adem Eroğlu came third with his photograph “Flamingos”
Honorable mention awards were given to Ahmet Burak Güralp and Abdullah Koç.

In this book, we brought together the photos that were awarded in the competition and were worth exhibiting. As Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality,
I would like you to know that our works in the field of photography art will continue to increase as in other branches of art.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the contest and greet all photo lovers with respect.
