Ağırnas Village &
Architect Sinan House

In Kayseri, people who began education at a young
age, turned into very important businessmen and
left their marks on history. The most valuable and
important one of these examples was undoubtedly
Mimar Sinan, who was famous for his architecture in
the most brilliant periods of the Ottoman Empire. He
was born in Ağırnas Village, 35 km away from the
Kayseri city center. Until the age of 22 he breathed
the air of this city and got lessons from his master.
He dreamed first and built his finest works in his 50s.
The village, which is full of old stone houses, is also
known as Mimar Sinan village. The village is proud of
the architect who shapes the stone. The village where
he grew up is now seen as a historical treasure.
