TARIHI KAYSERI MAHALLESI
Kayseri Büyükşehir Belediyesi’nin Kültür Yolu projesi içinde yer
alan Tavukçu Mahallesi'nde bulunan “Kayseri Mahallesi”nde 50'ye yakın
konak restore edildi. Geleneksel Kayseri mahallesine has bakkal, fırın,
kasap, aktar gibi esnafların olacağı mahallede, butik, otel, restoran,
kafe gibi turizme dönük tesisler de bulunmaktadır. Sosyal yaşamdan,
geleneksel mimariye, yemek kültüründen musikiye kadar eski Kayseri
yaşantısına ait birçok unsuru içinde barındırması hedeflenmiştir. Dış
cephelerindeki onarımla birlikte, iç teşrifat ve tezniyat geleneksel
mimariye uygun yapılmıştır. Bu mimari; taş işlemeciliği, ahşap süsle-
meciliği ve sütun başlarını içermektedir. Belediye Konservatuarı'nın
Setenönü Kurs Merkezi adıyla yeni şubesi burada hizmete açılmıştır.
Tarihi konaktaki odalara Aşık Veysel, Hacı Arif Bey, Neşet Ertaş, Ahmet
Gazi Ayhan gibi Türk müziğinin temel taşları olmuş sanatçıların isim-
leri verilmiştir.

KAYSERI HISTORICAL NEIGHBORHOOD
Nearly 50 mansions were restored in “Kayseri Mahallesi”, which is
located in Tavukçu neighborhood, which is located within the Culture Road
project of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. In the neighborhood there
are traditional Kayseri local grocery store, bakery, butcher shop, transfer
shop, boutique hotels, restaurants, cafe, etc., There are also facilities for
tourism. It is aimed to accommodate many elements of old Kayseri life
from social life, traditional architecture, food culture and music. Along with
the repairs on the facades, interior furnishings and ornaments were made
to fit traditional architecture. This architecture includes stone process-
ing, wood ornamentation and column heads. Municipality Conservatory
Setenönü Course Center was opened to serve new branch. The names of
the artists who have been the foundation stones of Turkish music such as
Aşık Veysel, Hacı Arif Bey, Neşet Ertaş and Ahmet Gazi Ayhan have been
given the rooms in the historical place.
